Shipping Policy

Sunny Seas Goldies prioritizes the health and well-being of each, individual goldfish. It is my commitment to guarantee each goldfish leaves healthy and with every opportunity to reach its full potential. Each goldfish undergoes an extensive quarantine period to rule out any illness or disease.

My goldfish are fasted for 2-3 days prior to their scheduled shipping day to avoid elevated ammonia levels during travel.

Shipping Charges:

  • UPS and FedEx 2-day shipping starts at $35.

  • UPS and FedEx Overnight starts at $50.

NOTE: Orders that qualify for free shipping will go 2-day UPS.

If overnight is required please contact me to arrange the difference.

*Keep in mind, the least amount of time in transit is better for the overall health of your fish.

We currently ship from South Florida, USA to all locations within the U.S.

Shipping occurs Mondays and Tuesdays (excluding holidays) to ensure a weekday delivery. If an order is made on either of these days or too close to the shipping days, the fish will be shipped out the following week.

The appropriate safety measures are enforced when shipping a fish. I will take all the necessary precautions to make sure your fish arrives safe, healthy, and alert.

Sunny Seas Goldies offers a “LIVE ON ARRIVAL” guarantee. If your fish is DOA please provide a high quality, 30 second video within 2 hours of delivery time (this will be shown by the tracking number).

Acclimation

*HAVE QUARANTINE TANK PRIMED AND READY 24-48 HOURS PRIOR TO YOUR FISH’S ARRIVAL*

1.    Once your new fish arrives open the box in a dimly lit room and place bag with fish into your quarantine tank.

2.    Allow 20-30 minutes for the temperature to equalize.

3.    Gently remove fish from the bag and place into your tank. Dispose of the bag water. DO NOT pour the water from the bag into the tank.

HELPFUL TIPS:

·      Have quarantine tank temperature set to 78-80 degrees Fahrenheit

·      Add aquarium salt to tank (1/2 tablespoon per 5 gallons to start), this will act as a tonic and aid in relieving stress from shipping

·      Do not feed your new fish for at least 48 hours

·      Keep lighting to a minimum for the first 48 hours

·      Increase aeration with low water flow/movement

Every fish is different. Some will adjust quickly to their new environment; others need more time and patience from you. Fish typically recover within 3-5 days but can take up to 2 weeks. During this time, it is very important to keep feedings light and water clean. 50% water changes every 48 hours to ensure stress is at a minimum. Anything greater than this may cause shock. Aquarium salt may be re-dosed at this time.

New fish may exhibit one or more of the following symptoms:

·      Loss of appetite

·      Lethargy

·      Hiding or facing a corner

·      Bottom sitting or staying at the top of the tank

·      Swim imbalances and/or erratic swimming

·      Redness in fins or body

** Ranchu from Sunny Seas Goldies were raised in consistent 80 degree Fahrenheit water with a PH of 7.4-7.5
